Six Sets Of Adorable Twins Were Born On The Same Day In One Hospital

No matter how cool your job is, everything you do every day grows to become a routine. Many things simply have to be done the same way every time, so there are probably days that are reasonably uneventful (everything is relative). Maternity wards are full of excitement for the people who aren’t there all the time (they’re bringing humans into the world, after all) but nurses and doctors see this every day. The days they get a surprise like the one in this story go down in history and made a splash on the internet.

Twelve Bundles Of Joy

St. Luke’s East Hospital’s NICU sees miracles on the daily. There are babies born and families made in the maternity ward of this hospital. Many of the babies in the ward have similar features and other commonalities, but on this day, they had one very distinctive thing in common: they were twins!

No one could believe it, but…

…six sets of twins were born in this ward in ONE day. This is unheard of and came much to the delight of Brenda Cornell, the ward’s manager. The babies were all born healthy and happy, but amazingly, ALL of these pregnancies were conceived naturally without artificial insemination.

These Parents Have A Special Bond

Holly Cheatum, pictured here holding her twins Sophia Ann and Delia Marie, is thrilled at the story she can tell her children and perhaps grandchildren some day. As one of six sets of parents with twins born on the same day, she and the others have stayed in touch as they struggle through morning feedings and sleepless nights. Surely all these babies will be good friends as they grow up.
