Two Girls With Horrible Facial Scars Were Adopted, Brought To America, And Transformed

There are so many children in the world who wish for and need loving homes. Unfortunately, many of those in need are passed over due to their age or physical issues. This aspiring mom doesn’t let such things deter her, though. After adopting Munni, a young Indian girl with severe facial scarring, Kristen Williams turns around and adopts Roopa, another girl from India overlooked due to her appearance.

Kristen Williams originally intended to adopt a child from Nepal, but through the machinations of fate, she’s ended up with two beautiful daughters from India.

Both Roopa and Munni are lucky to have her, and she knows she’s lucky to have them.

Despite their visual differences, the sisters are clearly goofballs at heart, especially Roopa.

Roopa was originally found in a garbage dump, her nose having been chewed away by animals. Munni was abandoned, scarred and traumatized by events in her earliest memories.

Kristen didn’t hesitate to bring them home.

When their story began to gain press, they were featured on the show The Doctors, who arranged to have both girls undergo amazing transformations at no cost to the family.

The show contacted facial prosthesis specialist Dr. Gregory Gion to help with Roopa’s nose, and plastic surgeon Dr. Jon Mendelsohn to lessen the appearance of Munni’s facial scars.
