1. Lady Gaga was born on March 28, 1986 as Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta. 






2. She got her musical start in theater, appearing in many high school plays. 


She would later get a contract with Def Jam Recordings, but they dropped her shortly after signing. 











3. She was rediscovered when Akon noticed her vocal talent and got her a joint deal with Interscope Records and his own label, KonLive Distribution. 






4. In 2008, Lady Gaga released her first album, The Fame.
