13 Crazy Facts About "Who"s The Boss?"

Remember Tony Danza? Good ol’ Tony is an absolute GIANT when it comes to sitcom actors. From his breakout in Taxi to the fan favorite that is Who’s The Boss, Danza is known as one of the most likeable guys on television. Seeing as I was always more of a Who’s The Boss fan, I thought I’d try to rustle up some interesting behind-the-scenes facts about the show, and lucky for you I was pretty successful!

Here are few of the best ones.

1. Mona was originally supposed to be Angela’s older sister.

The producers wanted a free-spirited older sister to be in the show, but they had a very hard time finding the right person.

2. Frank Sinatra made an epic cameo.

Apparently Tony Danza’s mother didn’t believe that her son was that big of a celebrity until he was able to introduce her to Sinatra on the set.

3. The show had a different title in pre-production.

Alyssa Milano says she actually showed up to audition for a show called You’re The Boss.

4. The show had its own softball team.

Danza was the pitcher, which is funny because his character in the show is a retired second basemen.

Your inability to stand up straight resulted in the best dance moves ever The alcohol gods are on your side when your unconscious self manages to do the worm. 2. Adele’s new song “Hello” is perfect listening for anyone who wants to unnecessarily relive the emotional trauma of having your heart shattered into a billion pieces. The song is about the failures of reconnecting with a loved one after painful years apart. If you can get through the song without having a crippling, tear-soaked breakdown, then you likely have no heart. You also might find that the lyrics are uncannily similar to a drunken text you might send your ex. Mary Caldera noticed this similarity and decided to test it out on her ex-boyfriend, Matt. Poor Matt clearly didn’t get the reference. Naturally, Matt assumed Mary was just drunk texting him, and his deadpan and confused response is brilliant. If you think Mary was cruel for texting Matt and getting his hopes up, well, she didn’t stop there. She also posted the entire exchange on Twitter, much to our delight!
