20 Breathtaking Photos From The International Space Station In 2015
Look up, look way up, and don’t blink or you’ll miss it. Overhead, there are shutterbugs sailing along.
The International Space Station orbits the Earth at more than 17,000 miles per hour. It sees a sunrise every 92 minutes. And in the span of 24 hours, it completes just shy of 16 orbits. So it’s safe to say they see things the rest of us don’t.
For his year in space, Commander Scott Kelly has been the lucky astronaut behind the lens. And luckily for us folks back on the ground, he’s been beaming his stunning photos back to Earth all year, and he has given us a view of our beautiful planet like we’ve never seen before.
