I’m about to blow your mind with this fact: How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days was released 13 years ago. 13! Years! Ago! And how many times have I seen it since it was released? Oh, you know, just around 30 times. It’s got everything you would ever need in a movie! It’s got romance, comedy, Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey in his prime. You can’t help but just root for Andie and Ben to get together in the end. If it’s been awhile since you’ve seen the movie, it’s now on Netflix! But before you go rushing to type in your Netflix password, here are some facts you need to know about the movie!











1. Apparently, there were an estimated $14,200,000 worth of jewels lent to the production for the movie. 






2. Remember that iconic scene where Andie wears that gorgeous yellow silk gown? Well, to accessorize she wore a Harry Winston diamond necklace valued at $5,280,000 and a pair of diamond earrings worth $125,000.

3. Kate Hudson was the master at improvising on set! The scene where Andie crashes Ben’s “boy’s night” was completely improvised. Kate came up with the idea to throw the platter of veggies at the guys and only told the director about it. 


All the actors were completely shocked when they filmed the scene!
