This steamy, action-filled, tear-jerking and kind of spooky film is definitely a classic that has only aged by its outdated computer screens. It’s great to rewatch these days, even for another glimpse at the gorgeous Patrick Swayze. A lot went on behind the scenes of this movie that most people had no idea about – until now anyway. These 15 steamy Ghost facts will have you wanting to relive the famous pottery scene over and over again.

1. Patrick Swayze was chosen to play the role of Sam after the director saw him cry in an interview over the loss of his father. He thought that if he could become that emotional over the death of a loved one, he’d be a perfect fit for the movie.

2. The director made a good choice. During the final scene when Sam says goodbye to Molly, the emotions portrayed were due to Patrick thinking about his father.

3. Demi Moore was given the part of Molly because she could cry out of a specific eye on cue.

Talk about talent!

4. It took the directors months to decide what Sam’s last line in the film would be.
