1. Kate was born on October 5, 1975 in Reading, England. 


Talent runs in her family: Kate’s parents, Roger Winslet and Sally Bridges-Winslet, are both actors and her grandparents founded the Reading Repertory Theatre!

Her strict training took place at the Redroofs Drama School in England.











3. When Kate was 11, she appeared in a commercial for Sugar Puffs cereal. 


At age 17, she got her first television role in a series called Anglo Saxon Attitudes.
