18 Surprising IQ Scores Of United States Presidents

No matter what time of year it is, there is always a debate going on somewhere in the USA about who the greatest national leader of all time was. But in the heat of all these arguments and disagreements, it is incredibly important to remember how lucky we are to actually have a say in who becomes the President of the United States.

But let’s face it, comparisons are always going to be made. So with that being said, I thought it would be fun to compare them with a concrete stat such as that of an IQ test. Now, these are knowledge-based estimates from a comprehensive 2006 study done by the University of California. Obviously Barack Obama and Donald Trump weren’t presidents yet, so their results are from other estimates we could find.

Here are some of the more impressive scores.

18. Ulysses S. Grant

The 18th President is said to have had a respectable IQ score of 120.

17. George W. Bush

President Bush was the nation’s 43rd President and is believed to have an IQ of 124.

16. Ronald Reagan

President Reagan had an estimated IQ of 130.

15. George Washington

The very first leader of the nation is said to have had an IQ of about 132.
