Will Smith has been my crush ever since I first saw him in the greatest show of all time – The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. The fact that he wrote the theme song should be reason enough for any ’90s kid to love him. Plus he gave us “Miami,” “Gettin’ Jiggy Wit It,” and “Parents Just Don’t Understand” – these really put him at legendary status. Oh yeah, and that blockbuster film career he has is pretty good, too. Here are some facts about Big Willy himself.











1. He turned down the role of Neo in The Matrix.


That one probably stung a little.




2. He met his wife – Jada Pinkett – when she auditioned for his girlfirend on Fresh Prince.


Even though she didn’t get the part, she got Will. They’ve been married for almost 20 years now.











3. Will and DJ Jazzy Jeff won the first ever Grammy for a rap song.


It was for “Parents Just Don’t Understand.” They don’t, you know. They really don’t.




4. He almost went bankrupt before he scored the part on Fresh Prince.


Somebody wasn’t paying their income taxes… and then somebody got caught.

Adele’s new song “Hello” is perfect listening for anyone who wants to unnecessarily relive the emotional trauma of having your heart shattered into a billion pieces. The song is about the failures of reconnecting with a loved one after painful years apart. If you can get through the song without having a crippling, tear-soaked breakdown, then you likely have no heart. You also might find that the lyrics are uncannily similar to a drunken text you might send your ex. Mary Caldera noticed this similarity and decided to test it out on her ex-boyfriend, Matt. Poor Matt clearly didn’t get the reference. Naturally, Matt assumed Mary was just drunk texting him, and his deadpan and confused response is brilliant. If you think Mary was cruel for texting Matt and getting his hopes up, well, she didn’t stop there. She also posted the entire exchange on Twitter, much to our delight!
