This Fan Theory Completely Changes The Ending Of "Harry Potter"




The Harry Potter universe took over the world since the very first book was released. I mean, it’d be really hard to find someone who hasn’t at least heard of the series or read one of the books or seen one of the movies. JK Rowling has repeatedly said that there will only be seven books so that means the fans have resorted to filling in the blanks in the story with their own magic! Well, not magic. More like hours of careful research and analysis of the books! There are tons of fan theories out there about Harry Potter but this one is mind-blowing. It completely changes the end of the series!











In the series, one of Professor Trelawney’s prophecies is very clear about the relationship between Harry and Voldemort. 






The prophecy specifies that neither Harry nor Voldemort can live while the other survives. 













“Either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives… the one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies…”






One very smart Potterhead picked up on this and noticed that the prophecy meant something very different for Harry and completely changes the ending of the series.

Poor Matt clearly didn’t get the reference. Naturally, Matt assumed Mary was just drunk texting him, and his deadpan and confused response is brilliant. If you think Mary was cruel for texting Matt and getting his hopes up, well, she didn’t stop there. She also posted the entire exchange on Twitter, much to our delight!
