Wen By Chaz Dean Is Allegedly Causing Hair Loss In Women

It’s unimaginable. The way women care for their hair, the time and effort and money they put into it — to have something like this happen is just unimaginable.

You can’t help thinking about all the lives that have been derailed — well, derailed might be a best-case scenario for some of these unfortunate customers. Ruined might be more apt.

But it’s important to note, nothing in this case is settled or certain. There is simply a long lineup of angry women, and it’s difficult not to share in their outrage.

WEN by Chaz Dean is full of promises.

The website describes it as “an industry-changing product line that excludes ordinary shampoo. What sets WEN apart is its cleansing conditioner, a single-step process that cleanses and conditions the hair simultaneously. The cleansers include a perfect blend of special ingredients, including natural botanicals and herbs, and do not contain sodium laurel sulfate or harsh chemicals.”

Chaz, a stylist to the stars, has done well for himself by creating WEN.

It’s owned by infomercial giant Guthy-Renker, who you might also recognize from their Proactiv line. According to Forbes, Guthy-Renker pulled in $100 million from WEN in its second year.

WEN has even been endorsed by some of Chaz’s celeb clients like Brooke Shields, Alyssa Milano, and Angie Harmon.

However, WEN has a serious problem on its hands — handfuls of hair, pulled out by customers.
