It’s happening. It’s finally happening! This week is the premiere of the Gilmore Girls revival! *proceeds to scream so loud and high that only dogs can hear it* It’s been nine years since the show ended and Gilmore Girls fans have been eagerly waiting for a proper ending to the show. I’m sure most of us want to forget how bad Season 7 was! 


The cast have been busy doing interviews and letting fans know that the wait was definitely worth it. Lauren Graham who is one half of the Gilmore girls has said that fans won’t be disappointed with the revival. So what’s Lauren been up to since she played Lorelai Gilmore? Keep reading to find out more about Lauren and how she ended up playing one of the most iconic characters on TV!











1. Lauren wasn’t supposed to be in Gilmore Girls! Even though casting directors were convinced that she was perfect for Lorelai Gilmore, Lauren was attached to another TV show! When the show got canceled, they immediately called her and she auditioned!






2. From the beginning, Lauren said she was obsessed with Lorelai and felt a “connection to the role.” She remembers that she read the opening scene and the scene where she confronts Rory about wanting to ditch Chilton for Dean for the audition.


I remember those scenes! 











3. Lauren used to call Matthew Perry her boyfriend! The two dated briefly in 2003 and ended the relationship on good terms. Lauren even starred on Matthew’s show The Odd Couple as his character’s ex-girlfriend!






Wait. Lorelai Gilmore used to date Chandler Bing?!
