Have you ever seen an incredibly interesting image but just couldn’t explain what on earth was going on? The brain will do its best to figure the scene out, but sometimes it’s no use. We crave an explanation for something that we can’t figure out. I’ve scanned reddit for some of the most interesting yet unexplainable images. Luckily for you, I can explain them!

1. At first, you may be wondering why there is a traffic jam of this proportion in a desert. Then it makes total sense when you find out that this is the scene when people are leaving the Burning Man festival. 

2. Why are there dozens of toads in this toilet? This is the scene after this house was flooded out. 

3. These mysterious marks were left on a foggy windshield after a frog jumped up on it and hopped away. 

4. So a bonsai tree in space… That’s a beautiful first. This is actually the work of Japanese artist Azuma Makoto. Makoto sends objects up in space with a balloon to show “organic life on the edge of space.”
