16 Things Back To The Future Promised And Didn"t Deliver




Movies can present us with fantastical visions of the future and hypothesize about the world of weird and wonderful technological advancements that could potentially await us. Perhaps no movie has captured the collective imagination of the future-curious like Back to the Future: Part 2, with it’s magical portrayal of a future filled with awesome consumer gadgets. With only a few days left until October 21st, 2015, the date that Marty and Doc travel to in the film, let’s take a look back at all of the great things that the film promised we’d have by now that haven’t quite panned out. 












1. Flying Cars


Yes, there are flying cars in development but we’re way behind on getting these out to the masses. Where we’re going… We still need roads.




2. Fax Machines Everywhere


Why they thought everyone would fax each other all the time remains a mystery to us living in the actual 21st century. 











3. Jaws 19


Max Spielberg sadly never delivered us this 3D gem. 




4. Rejuvenation Clinics


We still don’t have rejuvenation clinics that can add years to your life and make you look younger. Bummer.

Can Your Ex Tell The Difference Between Adele Lyrics And Drunk Texts? This Girl Found Out!

Adele’s new song “Hello” is perfect listening for anyone who wants to unnecessarily relive the emotional trauma of having your heart shattered into a billion pieces. The song is about the failures of reconnecting with a loved one after painful years apart. If you can get through the song without having a crippling, tear-soaked breakdown, then you likely have no heart. You also might find that the lyrics are uncannily similar to a drunken text you might send your ex. Mary Caldera noticed this similarity and decided to test it out on her ex-boyfriend, Matt. Poor Matt clearly didn’t get the reference. Naturally, Matt assumed Mary was just drunk texting him, and his deadpan and confused response is brilliant. If you think Mary was cruel for texting Matt and getting his hopes up, well, she didn’t stop there. She also posted the entire exchange on Twitter, much to our delight!
