Dog Becomes Friends With Lonely Child

I’m a firm believer that every person in this world should experience the beauty that is owning a pet — at least at one point in their lives. Seriously, there is nothing quite like it. Sure, you can surround yourself with loads of human friends, but at the end of the day, are those people going to cuddle with you on the couch all night? Are they going to lick your face to wake you up in the morning? Are they going to fall asleep on your head? Hopefully the answer to all of those questions is no — but hey, whatever floats your boat.

ANYWAY — this is the story of one adorable little boy who was in dire need of some furry friendliness.

Hernan is a little boy with Down syndrome who has been having trouble making friends at school. His mother absolutely hates seeing how upset he is when he gets home from school every day, and apparently so does his beloved dog Himalaya. One day when Hernan was sitting outside not feeling very happy, Himalaya tried his best to make Hernan feel better.

Hernan’s mother watched as the dog approached him. When she saw what he was doing, she began to record them on her phone.
