"Friends" Star Shares Plot Twist That Would Have Left Fans Screaming




Thirteen long years have passed since one of history’s greatest TV sitcoms came to an end, and believe it or not, the entire world is still weeping. So what is the deal with the Friends obsession? Well, I think a large part of it has to do with just how relatable/lovable the main characters are. It didn’t take long for everyone to find Chandler’s sarcasm adorable, Monica’s cleanliness hilarious, Phoebe’s wild antics amusing, Ross and Rachel’s off-and-on romance heartwrenching and Joey’s dimwitted behavior amazing. 


But as much as we THINK we may know about our favorite Friends characters, one of the show’s main stars just revealed a pretty large secret that might change everything…











In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Matt LeBlanc (or Joey Tribbiani, as we still like to call him) talked about what cast members he still hangs out with and just how important the show was to his career.


But what’s more interesting is his talk of a very interesting storyline that was ultimately dropped before the finale.




When asked about his stint on the popular sitcom, Leblanc credited it with shaping his entire career:


“It’s a decade of my life documented. It was a good time, that show — career-wise, probably the best thing that’s ever happened to me by far.”











He’s even stayed quite close with a lot of his former castmates, especially Matthew Perry.


“I love that guy… We still have this shorthand with one another. It’s amazing, really.”




But if that lifelong friendship warms your heart, wait until you hear what ALMOST happened between him and another co-star on the show…

You also might find that the lyrics are uncannily similar to a drunken text you might send your ex. Mary Caldera noticed this similarity and decided to test it out on her ex-boyfriend, Matt. Poor Matt clearly didn’t get the reference. Naturally, Matt assumed Mary was just drunk texting him, and his deadpan and confused response is brilliant. If you think Mary was cruel for texting Matt and getting his hopes up, well, she didn’t stop there. She also posted the entire exchange on Twitter, much to our delight!
