Pinocchio is sitting by himself one fateful morning and decides to make a statement. Loudly, he says, “my nose will now grow!” What happens? Seriously — his nose only grows when he lies, but if it doesn’t grow at that point, he’s a liar and his nose should then grow. However, if it did grow, that would make his statement true and therefore his nose couldn’t grow by the whole “lie” rule. This is what we call a paradox. 


But a paradox is better than a pair of crocs…

The song is about the failures of reconnecting with a loved one after painful years apart. If you can get through the song without having a crippling, tear-soaked breakdown, then you likely have no heart. You also might find that the lyrics are uncannily similar to a drunken text you might send your ex. Mary Caldera noticed this similarity and decided to test it out on her ex-boyfriend, Matt. Poor Matt clearly didn’t get the reference. Naturally, Matt assumed Mary was just drunk texting him, and his deadpan and confused response is brilliant.
