17 Cringe-Worthy Third Wheel Moments




For the majority of my semi-grown up life I have been the single friend, and I have made my peace with that. In all honesty, it really isn’t that bad most of the time, especially when you’re friends with both of them! 


But there are moments that are a little less than savory, moments when I really have felt like the third wheel. Did they do it on purpose? I doubt it, but that doesn’t make the struggle any less real. 


That was until I saw these 16 pictures and realized that maybe I never had it that bad.


For the people below, being the third wheel is not just an occasional incident but a lifestyle they have mastered.

Adele’s new song “Hello” is perfect listening for anyone who wants to unnecessarily relive the emotional trauma of having your heart shattered into a billion pieces. The song is about the failures of reconnecting with a loved one after painful years apart. If you can get through the song without having a crippling, tear-soaked breakdown, then you likely have no heart. You also might find that the lyrics are uncannily similar to a drunken text you might send your ex. Mary Caldera noticed this similarity and decided to test it out on her ex-boyfriend, Matt. Poor Matt clearly didn’t get the reference. Naturally, Matt assumed Mary was just drunk texting him, and his deadpan and confused response is brilliant. If you think Mary was cruel for texting Matt and getting his hopes up, well, she didn’t stop there. She also posted the entire exchange on Twitter, much to our delight!
