7 Actors Who Were Almost Cast In "The Fault In Our Stars"

Have you read/seen The Fault in Our Stars? If you have, then you probably bawled your eyes out because the story honestly rips our heart out and leaves you feeling like you just rode the most intense emotional roller coaster ever. The actors in the movie were chosen because they could portray these emotions the best, which is obviously very important. There were a few other actors that came close to landing the role and definitely would have changed the movie.

It’s pretty hard to imagine watching The Fault In Our Stars with different actors playing the lead roles.

Shailene Woodley plays the perfect Hazel Grace. She was so committed to the role, and even wrote to John Green asking for the part because she loved the book so much.

And then there’s Ansel Elgort who might just be a real-life angel. He plays the perfect Gus, he’s sweet and charming and so insanely handsome. Anybody else would have paled in comparison.

Of course, there were many other actors and actresses who tried out for these coveted roles. Although they weren’t successful, we think they still would have done a pretty good job.
