It’s human nature to want something that you don’t have. My hair is very curly, and I have always wished for straight hair. I would straighten my hair all the time, and after all those years, I’m sure you can imagine how dead it was. Pretty gross. My only solution to get it back to a healthy state was to stop straightening it. That sounded impossible to me, but if I wanted healthy hair, then I would have to. After wearing my hair naturally for a few months, I actually started to like it. I’m finally comfortable with getting my hair wet in a pool, and I’m not embarrassed with how unruly it is. All it took was some time for me to get comfortable with it. 


Nobody is perfect, but it is our imperfections that make us so unique. There are so many amazing beauty bloggers on Instagram who embrace their differences, and they are not afraid to show the world. I look up to all these women! They are amazing, and so is their confidence. Here are 12 beauty bloggers who embrace their unique beauty! 











1. Lauren Elyse


Lauren is a super talented makeup artist who has vitiligo. Sometimes she covers it up, and sometimes she doesn’t. Either way, she is comfortable in the skin she’s in. Also, she’s one of my favorite beauty bloggers. She is beyond amazing! 




2. Kaitlyn Dobrow


Kaitlyn is a quadruple amputee who has had bacterial meningitis. She has been through a lot, and she is super strong. Her makeup skills are also beyond epic. You go, girl! 











3. Cassandra Naud


Cassandra is a phenomenal dancer who has been bullied for her birthmark. She refuses to have plastic surgery to remove it because she says it’s a huge part of who she is. I love how she embraces her individuality. Amazing!




4. Em Ford


Em has battled with acne for a while, and she has never been afraid to show her bare skin. The cyber bullies have written really mean things about her acne, and they also comment about how much makeup she wears. Ugh, it’s like you can never win. Thankfully, Em looks past those comments, and she still loves to post no-makeup selfies. Don’t stop!

Adele’s new song “Hello” is perfect listening for anyone who wants to unnecessarily relive the emotional trauma of having your heart shattered into a billion pieces. The song is about the failures of reconnecting with a loved one after painful years apart. If you can get through the song without having a crippling, tear-soaked breakdown, then you likely have no heart. You also might find that the lyrics are uncannily similar to a drunken text you might send your ex. Mary Caldera noticed this similarity and decided to test it out on her ex-boyfriend, Matt. Poor Matt clearly didn’t get the reference. Naturally, Matt assumed Mary was just drunk texting him, and his deadpan and confused response is brilliant. If you think Mary was cruel for texting Matt and getting his hopes up, well, she didn’t stop there. She also posted the entire exchange on Twitter, much to our delight!
