The Underappreciated Moments Of Being A C-Section Mother

Giving birth is both a harrowing and rewarding experience. When some people think of a woman giving birth naturally, they envision an excruciatingly painful experience and think to themselves, “Wow, I’m just going to get a C-section.” Most people don’t know that women who give birth to a child via Cesarean section don’t have it easy. Not only is the procedure a major surgery, but both the baby and mother are put at greater risk than with a vaginal birth. One thing is for sure, mothers who have had C-sections deserve recognition too.

Here are several reasons women should show off those scars with pride and happiness.

Leave a COMMENT on Facebook with your own experience giving birth. Did you have to deal with any hardships with a C-section?

In most cases, having a C-section is something that a woman has no choice but to deal with.

The procedure is a last resort for a reason: a mother and child are at increased risk for complications. Mothers go into a C-section knowing that their little one may be more likely to experience breathing problems in the future, or in rare cases, become injured during the procedure. These mothers have no choice but to withstand the possible risks.

As a woman lies there in isolation, fully conscious of what is going on, she may not even be able to benefit from the embrace of her partner or family.

The uncertainty is inevitably endured as the reward at the end of the experience is worth it all.

The uncertainty doesn’t end with the delivery either. The risk of infection is always a concern after a woman undergoes a C-section.

When some parents are already experiencing the delight of holding their child with their family, these women may have to wait on the operating table for some period of time.

One of the most troubling aspects of a C-section that can weigh on a woman is the chance that there could be risks for her next pregnancy.

In fact, problems with the placenta during the next pregnancy are more likely after having had a C-section.
