The third wheel struggle, we’ve all been there.


It’s not the worst thing in the world, but it’s certainly not the best either. Being the third wheel is a tricky place to be. When you go to the movies, do you sit in the middle? It’s only fair, right? When you go for a drive, do you sit in the backseat? If the couple is holding hands, should you just reach in and hold one of their hands too?


These are all questions this guy wished he had the answers to. After years of documenting his third wheeling experience with this couple, he learned third wheeling definitely has its good and bad sides. But when it’s good…it’s awesome.


You can only imagine what this guy was thinking throughout his third wheel experience…

The song is about the failures of reconnecting with a loved one after painful years apart. You also might find that the lyrics are uncannily similar to a drunken text you might send your ex. Mary Caldera noticed this similarity and decided to test it out on her ex-boyfriend, Matt. Poor Matt clearly didn’t get the reference. Naturally, Matt assumed Mary was just drunk texting him, and his deadpan and confused response is brilliant. If you think Mary was cruel for texting Matt and getting his hopes up, well, she didn’t stop there. She also posted the entire exchange on Twitter, much to our delight!
