There’s no question that being a parent is one of the most difficult things anyone can experience. And because parenting is something that consumes every part of you, the chances of mistakes and accidents increase dramatically. As a busy mom, Molly Landis has had to master the art of multitasking in order to keep up with everything life throws at her. But as anyone with a young baby knows, children tend to fuss and can decide to change their schedule at any given moment, which makes basic tasks like working, exercising, running errands, cleaning, and cooking extra difficult to do.  

A Helping Hand

This is why many parents, including Molly, use products like chest carriers to make life easier, especially when they have a million and one things to take care of in addition to their babies. 

The Accident

However, Molly learned the hard way that wearing your baby isn’t something that should be done all the time. A few weeks ago while cooking a meal on her stove, one of Molly’s burners exploded and sent a fireball up her chest, neck, and face, which resulted in a series of painful burns.

Usually, Molly uses the carrier while she’s working in the kitchen, but for the first time ever, her baby girl actually fell asleep in her swing that night, which meant she wasn’t strapped to her mother’s chest — the main impact zone of the accident.
