All you need are a couple items that you probably already have at home – coconut oil and baking soda. The coconut oil is a natural anti-bacterial skin cleanser and it also is an incredibly nourishing moisturizer. The baking soda adds grit to exfoliate your skin and wear away dead skin cells. Okay, now that you have your two ingredients, let’s get rolling:
Scoop one heaping tablespoon of coconut oil into a clean dish- Sift one tablespoon of baking soda into the dish
- Thoroughly mix the baking soda with the coconut oil
- Microwave the mixture for 20 seconds so that it melts
- Place the melted blend in your freezer for 10 minutes so that it solidifies
Now your scrub is done! When you’re ready to nourish and exfoliate your skin, simply take some of the scrub and rub it onto your skin in a circular motion. Rinse away for softer, smoother, healthier skin. Seal your dish up and store it in a cool dry place for continued use.
