Stranger Things is the quintessential ’80s throwback show / movie / music video all wrapped up in one Netflix show…


Without giving away too much, the show follows the fallout of a young boy disappearing in a small town, the young friends who have to confront EVIL in order to get him back.


Also, there’s some creepy, creepy stuff and a bald, hardcore little girl named Eleven who is TOTALLY metal…


Here’s the deal, get through this list and I DARE you to try and NOT want to watch this show!











1. Even though it’s a MAJOR SET, the production crew only paid one dollar for Sheriff Hopper’s trailer.

Gaten Matarazzo (who plays Dustin) had his voice change SO MUCH that the sound team was unable to use his voice for additional dialogue recording during post-production.




4. If you look closely, there’s SO MANY allusions to Stephen King’s It – that’s because the creators originally wanted to make the upcoming adaption of the film.


But they made a KILLER show instead!

The song is about the failures of reconnecting with a loved one after painful years apart. You also might find that the lyrics are uncannily similar to a drunken text you might send your ex. Mary Caldera noticed this similarity and decided to test it out on her ex-boyfriend, Matt. Poor Matt clearly didn’t get the reference. Naturally, Matt assumed Mary was just drunk texting him, and his deadpan and confused response is brilliant. If you think Mary was cruel for texting Matt and getting his hopes up, well, she didn’t stop there. She also posted the entire exchange on Twitter, much to our delight!
