Tom Hanks Reveals The Secret To His Successful Marriage To Rita Wilson




Everybody always wants to name-drop Reese Witherspoon or Julia Roberts as America’s Sweetheart. But where are the guys in the running for the title? The title truly belongs to only one man. And that man is none other than Tom Hanks. He’s given the world so much just based on his heartbreaking performance in Castaway. Don’t tell me you’ve never imitated him screaming “WILSON!” when you saw a volleyball. But what makes him so endearing is his love for Rita Wilson. The two have been together for decades, and now Tom is revealing the special secret to his successful marriage.











Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson married in 1988 after they starred in the movie Volunteers. 






That means that they’ve been married for nearly 29 years. 


Yes, 29 years! Now that’s an accomplishment to be proud of. 




They have two sons together named Chester and Truman.













So how have they managed to stay together for so long when Hollywood is famous for short-lived marriages? 






According to Tom, it’s fairly simple. “We just like each other. You start there.”
