14 On-Set Secrets About "The Vow"




When The Vow was released back in 2012, it was a one of those perfect Valentine’s Day movies that you could watch with your love, or your best friend, or by yourself. Really, though, with Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum to stare at for an hour and a half, there’s not much to complain about. There are actually a lot of really crazy and hilarious things that went on behind the scenes of the movie that we’re just dying to share with you!











For the record, this movie 100% has my heart.






1. Julia Roberts was up for the role of Paige Collins, but was replaced when the director decided to go for a younger set of actors. 













2. The movie is based on Kim and Krickitt Carpenter’s love story. They wrote a book called The Vow. Krickitt was involved in a car accident and she never regained her memory, just like Paige in the movie. 






3. Kim and Krickitt liked the movie, but the couple are Christians and used their faith to get through their struggles. They wished that that had been included in the story.

Adele’s new song “Hello” is perfect listening for anyone who wants to unnecessarily relive the emotional trauma of having your heart shattered into a billion pieces. The song is about the failures of reconnecting with a loved one after painful years apart. If you can get through the song without having a crippling, tear-soaked breakdown, then you likely have no heart. You also might find that the lyrics are uncannily similar to a drunken text you might send your ex. Mary Caldera noticed this similarity and decided to test it out on her ex-boyfriend, Matt. Poor Matt clearly didn’t get the reference. Naturally, Matt assumed Mary was just drunk texting him, and his deadpan and confused response is brilliant. If you think Mary was cruel for texting Matt and getting his hopes up, well, she didn’t stop there. She also posted the entire exchange on Twitter, much to our delight!
