There was a time when all the world was glued to their screens for Jon and Kate Plus 8…


Yeah… it was a bad time to be alive.


But for whatever reason, they melted our hearts and made us love ’em enough for more than one season. But since the show aired, they’ve also gone through their problems in the public eye. Even having Jon and Kate’s marriage fall apart and the kids being forced to grow up during a tough time.


But the kids have thrived and you should see them now..











This was one of the earliest pictures of the famous TLC family when they still looked like pink hamsters soon after they were born on May 10, 2004.






This was one of the earliest shots that the family took when they broke onto the scene…













This was Gosselin family in the very first season back in 2007. And they were basically ALL perfect little gems!


The show aired on TLC and was a hit from the start!




The family sat down and did a photo shoot in 2008. A year into their success and they’d already appeared on Oprah and the names “Jon and Kate” were burned into our collective vocab. 


Whether we wanted it or not….

You also might find that the lyrics are uncannily similar to a drunken text you might send your ex. Mary Caldera noticed this similarity and decided to test it out on her ex-boyfriend, Matt. Poor Matt clearly didn’t get the reference. Naturally, Matt assumed Mary was just drunk texting him, and his deadpan and confused response is brilliant. If you think Mary was cruel for texting Matt and getting his hopes up, well, she didn’t stop there. She also posted the entire exchange on Twitter, much to our delight!
