The world lost another icon this week. Carrie Fisher was just 60 years old when she passed away on the 27th of December after suffering a heart attack a few days prior. And even though most of us will forever remember her as Princess Leia, Fisher was so much more than a pin-up girl for Star Wars fans. Not only did she portray other memorable characters on the big screen, like Meg Ryan’s best friend Marie in When Harry Met Sally, but she was also an important role model for women and individuals living with mental illness.


The loss of Carrie Fisher was felt by many, and while she may have had her fair share of struggles over the years, she inspired the world to fight and to never give up on itself. Her strength, wit, humor, and passion will never be forgotten.

Adele’s new song “Hello” is perfect listening for anyone who wants to unnecessarily relive the emotional trauma of having your heart shattered into a billion pieces. The song is about the failures of reconnecting with a loved one after painful years apart. If you can get through the song without having a crippling, tear-soaked breakdown, then you likely have no heart. You also might find that the lyrics are uncannily similar to a drunken text you might send your ex. Mary Caldera noticed this similarity and decided to test it out on her ex-boyfriend, Matt. Poor Matt clearly didn’t get the reference. Naturally, Matt assumed Mary was just drunk texting him, and his deadpan and confused response is brilliant. If you think Mary was cruel for texting Matt and getting his hopes up, well, she didn’t stop there. She also posted the entire exchange on Twitter, much to our delight!
