Artist Imagines Animated Families Living Happily Ever After

All those movies based on fairytales end with a happily ever after, but have you ever wonder what that actually means? Sure, there have been a few direct-to-video sequels of varying quality (despite myself, I quite enjoyed Mulan 2), but most of the time we’re left to wonder.

Artist Linnéa Ãsberg from Sweden has wondered, too, and has a whole gallery of happy family portraits. She hasn’t limited herself to Disney, either!

1. “A Greek Family” – Hercules

Hercules chose to remain on Earth with Megara, and Linnéa has pulled inspiration from the original myths by imagining them with a gaggle of teenagers. There’s the eldest, Ophitus (19), the daughter, Deica (17), and the twins, Creontiades and Terimachus (15). Looks like Herc and Meg have their hands full!

2. “Like No Love Ever Known” – The Swan Princess

The Swan Princess was one of the small animated movies that were made in an attempt to compete with Disney. It was also on repeat in my household growing up. Odette and Derek got together, the curse was broken, and Linnéa has gifted them with an adorable baby girl named Sera.

3. “Through an Endless Diamond Sky” – Aladdin

Aw, look at that. Baby Isra is having her first carpet ride with her parents, Aladdin and Jasmine!

If you have a soft-spot for those old Don Bluth movies, don’t worry! I have one of those on the next page!
