Lacey recently posted a powerful photo that speaks to the dangers of shaming your own body in front of your children. She has an important message about the dangers of body shaming in front of your children. 

Every young girl watches their mother put make-up on or get ready with utter adoration. While this may sound positive, think about all the times people verbally bash their own body.

What kind of effect does that have those daughters or sons observing from the outside?

Lacey posted this powerful image as a statement about shaming yourself in front of your own children. Her caption describes the sentiment she wanted to convey to her followers:

“I find myself getting ready to leave for places. Looking in the mirror, putting on makeup, checking myself out. Silently judging. Whilst I am self absorbed in myself…I fail to realise my preteen is staring at me from the open bathroom door. She is watching me, my body language, my facial expressions and judging me judge myself,” she says. 

Lacey practices what she preaches, too. Here is a shot of her with her children after giving birth. Beautiful!

“It is hard to remember that my children are sponges..and what I put out to them, they take it all in….” she said. What an important and interesting message!
