14 Movies That"d Make No Sense If They Happened Today




The hope is that all movies will stand the test of time. 


Any director wants their movie to be “timeless.” Well, that’s too bad because they can’t all be.


Some movies have aged horribly and actually make no sense when they’re scrutinized in the harsh reality of 2016.


But we can’t be children forever, so here we go.











1. Psycho took place in the ratty Bates Motel where a crazy person takes a knife and goes into showers when people are already in there.


But Marion just had to use TripAdvisor on her iPhone to see she should avoid that place.




2. The Ring is about a haunted video tape that if you watch it, your life is in for a bad time.


But now we all illegally download our movies or just submit to Netflix movies, so it wouldn’t make sense.











3. Home Alone would make NO SENSE considering kids are privileged little monsters.






None of this would happen.

Adele’s new song “Hello” is perfect listening for anyone who wants to unnecessarily relive the emotional trauma of having your heart shattered into a billion pieces. The song is about the failures of reconnecting with a loved one after painful years apart. If you can get through the song without having a crippling, tear-soaked breakdown, then you likely have no heart. You also might find that the lyrics are uncannily similar to a drunken text you might send your ex. Mary Caldera noticed this similarity and decided to test it out on her ex-boyfriend, Matt. Poor Matt clearly didn’t get the reference. Naturally, Matt assumed Mary was just drunk texting him, and his deadpan and confused response is brilliant. If you think Mary was cruel for texting Matt and getting his hopes up, well, she didn’t stop there. She also posted the entire exchange on Twitter, much to our delight!
