They say that ignorance is bliss, but that clearly only applies to the ignorant. The rest of us have to suffer through their intolerable stupidity without any means to numb the pain. Sometimes the stupidity is ridiculous enough to be funny, and sometimes it’s ignorant enough to be frustrating. Whatever the case, there will always be dense people everywhere you go, so you may as well just learn to laugh at them.

Adele’s new song “Hello” is perfect listening for anyone who wants to unnecessarily relive the emotional trauma of having your heart shattered into a billion pieces. The song is about the failures of reconnecting with a loved one after painful years apart. If you can get through the song without having a crippling, tear-soaked breakdown, then you likely have no heart. You also might find that the lyrics are uncannily similar to a drunken text you might send your ex. Mary Caldera noticed this similarity and decided to test it out on her ex-boyfriend, Matt. Poor Matt clearly didn’t get the reference. Naturally, Matt assumed Mary was just drunk texting him, and his deadpan and confused response is brilliant. If you think Mary was cruel for texting Matt and getting his hopes up, well, she didn’t stop there. She also posted the entire exchange on Twitter, much to our delight!
