If you haven’t cried while either reading My Sister’s Keeper, or watching the movie, then there’s a good chance you’re made of stone. This story is one that rips your heart out, and the actors in the film do a fantastic job at telling a really emotional story. There’s a lot to know about this wonderful movie – some facts about it may even surprise you. Check out these 11 behind-the-scenes secrets about My Sister’s Keeper. 1. My Sister’s Keeper was originally a novel written by Jodi Picoult that came out in 2004.






2. It was turned into a movie five years later, it featured Cameron Diaz, Abigail Breslin, Sofia Vassilieva and Alec Baldwin.













3. The movie changed certain plot points from the book, most of which Jodi did not agree with.






4. The book originally ended with Anna being in a car accident and becoming brain dead, while Kate goes into remission and lives a full life. In the movie, Kate dies instead.
