Here"s How A Celeb Gets A Star On The Hollywood Walk Of Fame




If you’ve been to Los Angeles, there are a couple things you definitely have to do. You have to go see the Hollywood sign, and you have to see the stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame! If you get a chance to see the stars, you’ll notice that there are a variety of people who have them. And you might even notice that a bunch of A-list celebrities don’t get their own special spot to call their own. There’s a whole process of how to get a coveted star, and there are even strict rules. Here’s what celebs need to go through to permanently be part of the city of Los Angeles! 











1. It’s not just some random committee that decides who gets to have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It’s an organization called the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. 


Ooh, that sounds important and fancy.




2. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce gets together and usually chooses around 24 celebrities each year to get a star. 













3. Technically, anyone can apply for a star. Seriously, anyone can do it! All it takes is filling out an application and paying a fee. But submissions won’t be taken seriously unless the person is very accomplished. 






4. So what’s the application? It’s filling out some forms, writing a bio and signing a letter that states they will be there for the ceremony if they get a star.
