EBay has been around for a long as I can remember. It made its foothold on the internet early on in the dot com revolution and expanded over the years into the e-commerce behemoth it is today. EBay advertises itself as the “world’s online market.” I know people who swear by it and use it religiously to buy and sell anything from cheap trinkets to video game consoles. Given how many years eBay has been in the business, it stands out as one of the more reliable options when it comes to online shopping; however, there’s only so much the e-commerce site can control. After all, most of the time you’re still dealing with people and as we all know people screw around all the time. And despite its esteem, eBay isn’t short of its fair share of lowlights. I gathered a few of them for this list.

Adele’s new song “Hello” is perfect listening for anyone who wants to unnecessarily relive the emotional trauma of having your heart shattered into a billion pieces. The song is about the failures of reconnecting with a loved one after painful years apart. If you can get through the song without having a crippling, tear-soaked breakdown, then you likely have no heart. You also might find that the lyrics are uncannily similar to a drunken text you might send your ex. Mary Caldera noticed this similarity and decided to test it out on her ex-boyfriend, Matt. Poor Matt clearly didn’t get the reference. Naturally, Matt assumed Mary was just drunk texting him, and his deadpan and confused response is brilliant. If you think Mary was cruel for texting Matt and getting his hopes up, well, she didn’t stop there. She also posted the entire exchange on Twitter, much to our delight!
