16 Terrifying Vintage Photos That Prove You"re Better In The Present




I’ve been a history nerd all my life. I’m absolutely obsessed with anything that happened before I was born, and even a few things that happened after. So scrolling through picture after picture of vintage photos isn’t new for me. 


But every once in a while, I stop on something that makes my brain go “Wait… what just happened to my eyes?” And I thus question everything I thought I knew about history.


So, my friends, I’d like to share with you all the reasons why we are lucky to live in the present. Sure, it may be just as bizarre (I mean, really, who saw Trump running for president besides The Simpsons?), but I wouldn’t trade it for any of these disastrous decades.

Dali is my spirit animal. But if I could travel back in time, I’d want to do what the ladies in number 8 are up to.

Adele’s new song “Hello” is perfect listening for anyone who wants to unnecessarily relive the emotional trauma of having your heart shattered into a billion pieces. The song is about the failures of reconnecting with a loved one after painful years apart. If you can get through the song without having a crippling, tear-soaked breakdown, then you likely have no heart. You also might find that the lyrics are uncannily similar to a drunken text you might send your ex. Mary Caldera noticed this similarity and decided to test it out on her ex-boyfriend, Matt. Poor Matt clearly didn’t get the reference. Naturally, Matt assumed Mary was just drunk texting him, and his deadpan and confused response is brilliant. If you think Mary was cruel for texting Matt and getting his hopes up, well, she didn’t stop there. She also posted the entire exchange on Twitter, much to our delight!
