Why Nobody Should Like Mia From "The Princess Diaries"




The Princess Diaries is jam packed with some really great actors and actresses, so don’t get us wrong. We’re all for Anne Hathaway, we just think that she did a FANTASTIC job at playing a really awful character. There are SO many things wrong with Mia and nobody ever talks about it. We’re breaking the silence and letting our voices be heard. We’ve had enough. Here are ten rock solid reasons why Mia Thermopolis is the worst character ever. 











This movie may just be your classic teen flick that you watch with your BFFs and wish you were a princess, but the truth is, you’ve been misled. Amelia Mignonette Grimaldi Thermopolis Renaldo is not as wonderful as you may think, in fact, she’s actually quite the opposite. 






1. First of all, she totally changed who was (even though that hair wasn’t working for her in the first place) just because somebody told her to.


Doesn’t that go against everything we were ever taught growing up? So much for staying true to yourself.











2. She wouldn’t even tell Lilly, her BEST FRIEND, that she was a princess at first. She waited until Lilly felt super left out to the point of breaking up their friendship before she explained everything. 






3. She let being a princess go to her head and while she initially promised that she would go to Lilly’s cable show, she just left her hanging.

Adele’s new song “Hello” is perfect listening for anyone who wants to unnecessarily relive the emotional trauma of having your heart shattered into a billion pieces. The song is about the failures of reconnecting with a loved one after painful years apart. If you can get through the song without having a crippling, tear-soaked breakdown, then you likely have no heart. You also might find that the lyrics are uncannily similar to a drunken text you might send your ex. Mary Caldera noticed this similarity and decided to test it out on her ex-boyfriend, Matt. Poor Matt clearly didn’t get the reference. Naturally, Matt assumed Mary was just drunk texting him, and his deadpan and confused response is brilliant. If you think Mary was cruel for texting Matt and getting his hopes up, well, she didn’t stop there. She also posted the entire exchange on Twitter, much to our delight!
