13 Terrifying Unlucky Facts About "The Shining"
So if you DON’T want to be legitimately freaked out… avoid this movie.
Like, at all costs.
The Shining was one of the scariest movies ever made. Jack Nicholson made the film so iconic… The “Here’s Johnny line.” The door. The terrified family. The snow maze.
Man, I feel shivers everywhere…
But turns out there are a bunch of stuff that you should know about the movie… if you dare.
1. The director didn’t even look at the script written by Stephen King… the original author of the book.

2. Depending on where you saw the movie, the iconic sentence “All work and no play make Jack a dull boy” changed.

3. In the book, the spooky stuff in the movie takes place in room 217 NOT Room 237 because the owners of the real hotel didn’t want to scare away the customers.

4. Stephen King was allegedly not a big fan of the movie adaptation of his book. He didn’t think Jack Nicholson was right either because audiences already thought of him as crazy and he felt that Jack couldn’t portray a decent into madness.
