Dakota Fanning Says Everybody Wanted Her To Become A Trainwreck
At this point in time, it’d be pretty much impossible to say you’ve never seen a movie with Dakota Fanning in it (and if you are one of those people, go watch Uptown Girls or something and come back). She went from a super popular child star to a young actress overnight, and she’s stayed on the straight and narrow this whole time. She’s finally opening up about how people expected her to become a trainwreck like many other child stars, and we have everything you’ll need to know about it!
Dakota’s very fist role was on ER when she was six years old. She played a car accident victim with leukemia and said it was her favorite role because she got to wear a neck brace and nose tubes for the part.

The next year she was cast in the movie I Am Sam alongside Sean Penn, and it was the role that really got her noticed.

After her performance, she became the youngest person ever to be nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award and even won the Best Young Actress Award from the Broadcast Film Critics Association.

Since then, it seemed as though she was starring in every children’s role there was in Hollywood, and she knocked it out of the park each time.
