Dating is the worst. We all know this. But sometimes, it’s easy to forget just how bad it can be. 


If you think about it, going on a date is taking a gamble that the other person isn’t a totally huge weirdo. The world is full of them, and while that’s great and everyone should be their own person, I don’t want to have dinner with someone who is going to tell me his mother was abducted by aliens and impregnated with him (yes, this happened to me). How do you even handle that? 


I suppose it is pretty worth it to find the weirdo that is a good match for you, but it’s tough out there.

Adele’s new song “Hello” is perfect listening for anyone who wants to unnecessarily relive the emotional trauma of having your heart shattered into a billion pieces. The song is about the failures of reconnecting with a loved one after painful years apart. If you can get through the song without having a crippling, tear-soaked breakdown, then you likely have no heart. You also might find that the lyrics are uncannily similar to a drunken text you might send your ex. Mary Caldera noticed this similarity and decided to test it out on her ex-boyfriend, Matt. Poor Matt clearly didn’t get the reference. Naturally, Matt assumed Mary was just drunk texting him, and his deadpan and confused response is brilliant. If you think Mary was cruel for texting Matt and getting his hopes up, well, she didn’t stop there. She also posted the entire exchange on Twitter, much to our delight!
