Why Jim Carrey"s Grinch Is Better Than The Cartoon Version




Christmas is around the corner, which means it’s time to watch some Christmas movies. Of course I have to watch the classics like Home Alone, Home Alone 2, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Both the cartoon and live-action versions of the Grinch were instant classics. I love both, but I love the Jim Carrey version so much more. The Grinch has so much more personality, which makes the film even better! If you don’t agree with me, then maybe I will convince you! Here are 12 reasons why the Jim Carrey Grinch is better than the cartoon version!











1. Even though the cartoon Grinch was evil…


Jim Carrey as the Grinch was way worse.




2. Not only was he evil, he was savage!

Adele’s new song “Hello” is perfect listening for anyone who wants to unnecessarily relive the emotional trauma of having your heart shattered into a billion pieces. The song is about the failures of reconnecting with a loved one after painful years apart. If you can get through the song without having a crippling, tear-soaked breakdown, then you likely have no heart. You also might find that the lyrics are uncannily similar to a drunken text you might send your ex. Mary Caldera noticed this similarity and decided to test it out on her ex-boyfriend, Matt. Poor Matt clearly didn’t get the reference. Naturally, Matt assumed Mary was just drunk texting him, and his deadpan and confused response is brilliant. If you think Mary was cruel for texting Matt and getting his hopes up, well, she didn’t stop there. She also posted the entire exchange on Twitter, much to our delight!
