He Takes A Paper Lantern And Starts Gluing. What He Makes? Every Kid Will Love This!
If you’re looking for a fun way to add a unique lighting source to your home, look no further. The cloud lamp is here and it is as easy to make as it is beautiful to look at. This DIY lamp is great for lighting up a child’s bedroom, but it’s also stylish enough for adults to hang up. Who said grown-ups aren’t allowed to have fun too, right?
This cloud lamp also won’t rain on your bank account because to make your own, you just need a few cheap items that you can easily find at any craft store:
A paper lantern- Polyester stuffing (pillow innards)
- Fishing line
- A battery-powered LED light
- A hot glue gun
If you’re not a craft expert, fear not, because the degree of artistic skill required to create this lamp is very low. We Diply DIYers may be pros, but we also take pride in offering easy crafts that even the laziest of artisans can attempt.
If you think you’re ready to tackle your very own cloud lamp, check out the video and let us guide you through the steps. Once you’ve gathered all of your materials, it’s time to get rolling:
Start by disemboweling your pillow and ripping out its innards. Have fun with this step, as it can feel quite therapeutic. Go to town ripping your pillow’s guts out until you’ve collected all of the polyester stuffing- Apply a layer of hot glue to the outside of your paper lantern
- Stick lumps of the polyester pillow stuffing onto the lantern to form cloud poofs
- Cover the entire paper lantern in stuffing
- Use your hands to give the cloud poofs a nice form
- Turn your battery powered LED light on and stick it into your paper lantern
- Tie your fishing line around the top of the paper lantern, and there you have it: a beautiful cloud lamp
Once you’re done, you can hang up the cloud lamp wherever you please. You can even hang multiple cloud lamps up around your room to create a magical, illuminated sky ceiling.
