12 Weird And Random Things We All Totally Missed In "Friends"

Honestly, I don’t even remember what life was like before Netflix. Now my life is filled with daily marathons of Friends courtesy of the streaming service. It feels like the show never ended and that adventures with the gang will continue on forever. The other great thing about marathoning the show is that you begin to see things that you never noticed before. You actually get to pick out the continuity errors and huge mistakes that the show makes! Don’t believe me? Even though you’ve probably watched the show a million times, here are some things in the background of Friends that you never noticed.

1. The apartment number on Monica’s door changed from 5 to 20 over the course of the show.

Did they do it after they realized that the view from the window was too high for apartment number 5?

2. Phoebe suddenly goes from talking to Monica to talking to a complete stranger.

Phoebe, I hate to break it to you, but that’s not Monica…

More likely, you discover a edible-looking hot dog lying on the sidewalk calling to you.  But whatever your drunk win is, it creates an experience so magical that alcohol-soaked you feels like the only person in the world… even though  you probably don’t remember a thing about it the next morning.  1. Adele’s new song “Hello” is perfect listening for anyone who wants to unnecessarily relive the emotional trauma of having your heart shattered into a billion pieces. The song is about the failures of reconnecting with a loved one after painful years apart. If you can get through the song without having a crippling, tear-soaked breakdown, then you likely have no heart. You also might find that the lyrics are uncannily similar to a drunken text you might send your ex. Mary Caldera noticed this similarity and decided to test it out on her ex-boyfriend, Matt. Poor Matt clearly didn’t get the reference. Naturally, Matt assumed Mary was just drunk texting him, and his deadpan and confused response is brilliant. If you think Mary was cruel for texting Matt and getting his hopes up, well, she didn’t stop there. She also posted the entire exchange on Twitter, much to our delight!
