11 Reasons Steve Martin Is Amazing

I don’t know about you, but to me it seems like comedic actors and performers just don’t have that natural charisma and class nowadays that yesterday’s did. I could be wrong, and I am fully aware that there are some amazingly talented people out there that are absolutely hilarious. But to me, a great comedian is multi-talented and can make anything and everything they do a routine. There are a ton of legendary comedians who can do just that, but the first name that always comes to my mind is none other than the great Steve Martin. Not only is Steve Martin a talented actor and musician, but he rose to fame as one of the most energetic and entertaining comedians of the 1970s.

Check out these fun facts that many people don’t know about Steve.

1. Believe it or not, he popularized the air quote sign.

He made air quotes a big part of his standup routine and basically made it as popular as it is today.

2. His first job was at Disneyland.

His childhood home was just minutes away from the theme park and he got his start selling information pamphlets before graduating to the magic shop.

3. He was once a contestant on The Dating Game.

I bet the girl wishes she picked him now!

The dude is ALWAYS on.

Can Your Ex Tell The Difference Between Adele Lyrics And Drunk Texts? This Girl Found Out!

Adele’s new song “Hello” is perfect listening for anyone who wants to unnecessarily relive the emotional trauma of having your heart shattered into a billion pieces. The song is about the failures of reconnecting with a loved one after painful years apart. If you can get through the song without having a crippling, tear-soaked breakdown, then you likely have no heart. You also might find that the lyrics are uncannily similar to a drunken text you might send your ex. Mary Caldera noticed this similarity and decided to test it out on her ex-boyfriend, Matt. Poor Matt clearly didn’t get the reference. Naturally, Matt assumed Mary was just drunk texting him, and his deadpan and confused response is brilliant. If you think Mary was cruel for texting Matt and getting his hopes up, well, she didn’t stop there. She also posted the entire exchange on Twitter, much to our delight!
