16 Times "The Simpsons" Predicted The Future




After almost 600 episodes, you have to assume The Simpsons would predict, like, at least 71 things about the future. Think about it. The most flushed out lists of predictions are only 21 items long. That’s really not a lot of predictions for a show that’s been on the air so long. Yet, here we are, obsessed with this idea the writers over at Fox know something about tomorrow that we don’t. So I am here to profit off that assumption and throw you a few LOLs along the way.

Adele’s new song “Hello” is perfect listening for anyone who wants to unnecessarily relive the emotional trauma of having your heart shattered into a billion pieces. The song is about the failures of reconnecting with a loved one after painful years apart. If you can get through the song without having a crippling, tear-soaked breakdown, then you likely have no heart. You also might find that the lyrics are uncannily similar to a drunken text you might send your ex. Mary Caldera noticed this similarity and decided to test it out on her ex-boyfriend, Matt. Poor Matt clearly didn’t get the reference. Naturally, Matt assumed Mary was just drunk texting him, and his deadpan and confused response is brilliant. If you think Mary was cruel for texting Matt and getting his hopes up, well, she didn’t stop there. She also posted the entire exchange on Twitter, much to our delight!
