When we were kids, some of us went through a phase where we tried to find the grossest possible things we could think of on the internet. Inevitably, this morbid fascination led us to various shock sites and images that I won’t repost here. All of them would cause most of polite society to lose a monocle or two, but some managed to become strange cultural touchstones in their own right. 

But anyone who went through that phase knows there really isn’t a bottom for it. Even if you can handle some of the more popular gross-outs, there’s always that one that makes you regret your life decisions. Since many of us are already dealing with doubts and stresses in our lives, who really needs that little crisis?

We’ve gotten a little older and wiser since then so we can find a better way to get our “whoa” fix without giving ourselves nightmares.

3. We don’t much about this train derailment other than that it happened in Norway.

We may never know how it flipped over and ended up fitting through this tunnel.

4. Nothing to see here, just a jar full of creepy crawlies.

Although I wonder how long it would take before someone dared you to stick your hand in there.
