Major Retail Store Ditches Political Correctness And Says "Merry Christmas"
Christmas is quickly approaching us, and the retail world is starting to feel the effects. Children are making their wish lists for the holidays and parents are rushing out to grab all of the season’s best gadgets and toys before the shelves are cleared.
One controversial topic keeps coming up during the holiday season: whether or not it’s appropriate to say “Merry Christmas” given that there are many other religious and ethnic holidays around that time. As a result, there has been pressure to use the greeting “Happy Holidays” so as not to step on anyone’s toes.
Amidst this debate, one store has decided to stick with the traditional “Merry Christmas”: The Gap.

People are getting excited for the holiday shopping season, to say the least.

When you go out for your “seasonal” shopping this year, you will likely see a mixture of “Happy Holiday” signs….

…as well as “Merry Christmas” signs.

The end of the year is supposed to be a time for unity and enjoyment, but of course this controversial question remains: which of these greetings should be used?
