Fed Up With Her Dog Shedding In The Car, This Dog Owner Invented Doggy Leotards

Dogs deserve the best. As their owners, we tend to spare no expense making their lives as happy as possible, because they’re good boys and we want to return the joy they bring us. But make no mistake, it’s not all trips to the park to throw the tennis ball around. Dogs are work.

So although dogs deserve the best, we have to treat ourselves sometimes, too, and ease the burden of care our pets require. There aren’t many corners we can cut, but somebody out there came up with a way to address the shedding problem. Bonus: it’s adorable.

When dogs shed, they shed a LOT.

They spread it around like they’re bestowing a gift upon the world, like they have grown the finest fibers their humans can hope to receive and they want us to benefit. And we are forced to sweep up their tumbleweeds.

Is there any strategy dog owners won’t try to win the battle to keep dog fur from taking over the house?

We put blankets down on the couch and the car, vacuum daily, and brush our best friends down as often as possible, but it’s a never-ending fight.

And yet, until recently, nobody had thought of keeping the fur as close to the dog as possible.

But a company called Shed Defender came up with a plan to contain the fur. It’s kind of funny looking, like you’re turning your dog into a goofy Olympic wrestler or a sausage with legs, but you have to admit, it’s a cool concept.

The Shed Defender sure doesn’t make a dog any less cute.

But does it work?
